Is sapphire really that flexible? It would seem a harder material would be more brittle. It looked to me like a plastic mock-up.

He didn't flex it as much as Apple showed they flexed gorilla glass for QA.
That said, I don't think this is sapphire as claimed.*
*Although, It was pretty damn thin compared to previous front glass.
