Why can't you believe it? The Adreno 330 GPU in the G3's Snapdragon 801 has to render about 1.8 times as many pixels as phones with 1080p screens. Coincidentally, the Adreno 330 is about twice as fast as the Adreno 320 from the Snapdragon S4 Pro and Snapdragon 600, so you should have expected the G3 to perform about the same as a phone with an S4 Pro or Snapdragon 600 and a 1080p screen. Considering LG's skin is about as heavy as Samsung's, one would expect the G3 to perform similar to a Galaxy S4 (SD 600, 1080p screen), which also garnered a lot of complaints about lag in its day.

If you look at the onscreen BaseMark and GFXBench benchmarks here, you will see that the G3 does indeed slot in right between the Galaxy S4 and G2, and is nowhere near the performance of the Snapdragon 800 and 801 phones with 1080p screens.

Bottom line... if you come from something older or slower than a Galaxy S4, then you will probably think the G3 is fast and fluid. If you came from something newer or faster than the S4, you might feel like the G3 is a little slower and laggier.
