It works in every major city out west and everywhere up north. Women (particularly in the 18-30 age range) associate a southern accent with young, male country singers. All young male country singers sing about is romance, chivalry, drinking, creeks, and trucks. They find that romantic. So after hearing your voice, they will already subconsciously assume that you are chivalrous, respectful, and romantic. It's like fishing with dynamite in a stocked pond.
