It can be better if there wasn't so much blow back from activist. Most of the time the animal killed is chosen for management reasons, such as an older animal that won't contribute to the population anymore.
The Black Rhino is the only one on that list that is truly endangered. The rest are either vulnerable or not endangered at all.

I read that the rhino was tranquilized. I find it pretty impressive she killed a male lion with a compound bow.
