Throwing the guns out the window in the middle of the street would be preferable to spending months in a Mexican jail. Stopping in traffic and getting the US border patrol on the scene before crossing would have been a good idea. Do you think we let Mexicans with contraband crossing into the US just turn around and go home?

I'm not really taking a side here. But you seem happy that a Marine is in mexican jail. You obviously have some sort of disdain for Marines.

Throwing firearms out the window to be picked up by anyone or causing a major traffic hazard is the more responsible behaviour to you rather than approaching the border agents, explaining your predicament and asking for help? Wow.
