I get that. Not blaming the NBA or him. Just saying this has got to be tough and would probably make me more sad.

Different because he knows he is physically unable to play in the NBA. So he knows he wont be signing any contract. Like someone said, if he didn't want to do it he wouldn't have gone to the draft.

Tough situation no doubt, but he didn't have to go to the draft. It was obviously something that he wanted to do and his mom looked proud of him so it looked like a good move by the NBA, imo.
