I've gotten my pick of the litter at first. Started in Pittsburgh (nicer town than you think), then Dallas, and finally Fayetteville. Enjoyed those assignments, but then we've had a massive realignment and my boss no longer is able to choose my assignment, it's a person 3 positions above my manager, who I've never even met. So while I used to be able to basically choose where I go as long as there was an opening, those days are behind me. It's a sheer numbers game now.

I'd start working on meeting and befriending the higher up

It works in the corporate world if you're shrewd enough

Moved out here in January, it's really not as bad as some make it out to be.

In my mid twenties and I get by alright. Fire up the Tinder, but you'll be surprised by the girls out here. Quite a few good looking ones.

What area are you living in, if you know?
