I knew a guy who was big into the Tea Party in 2009 and 2010. He was an NRA member, small-medium-sized business owner, voted for Ron Paul in the Louisiana primary, and Gary Johnson in the general. Last year was his 5th straight year being audited. He had never had a single instance of illegalities or a single number out of place. He had never had anything misfiled, nothing. Audited every year from 2009-2013 and will probably be audited again this year. Not a smidgen of corruption

Last night Dick Cheney revealed he was audited every year he was VP and that the IRS had been targeting individuals since Nixon.
