Jazzy, not to discourage you but I recently finished 720 with Hsiesh and can confirm it was tough but not impossible, especially if you’re decent in excel. He encourages having a spreadsheet ready to plug and chug on the exams. But it’s a tough course. He doesn’t use a text. He has his own word document of the material which covers multiple topics per module. If I remember correctly, module 1 was 75 pages. I’d say it’s been my toughest course so far (I still have to take MADM 701 & 760 and ECON). My advice, if you’re looking for an elective, look elsewhere. If you’re a finance major and really want to learn about finance, take it but don’t double up.
