Both LSU and LSUS are using an outside party to assist with the programs. They are splitting the revenues with that vendor. Based on information gathered from schools of similar stature to LSU in the southern region, LSU then set its price based on that average.

Best online MBA program I know of is UNC Keenan Flagler.
Some of the folks in this thread seem pretty indoctrinated on the value of the program. An online MBA from LSUS (or LSU, LA Tech, ULM) is nothing more than a check the box. It is not going to open doors that are otherwise closed. If you need it to advance on your current role then great... But that's it.
Right or wrong, we would not interview someone from an online program. Part time programs are even looked down upon relative to full time programs.
If you go the online route, then you have to recognize and accept the clear shortcomings. Also, you don't have the network which is a massive part of the value.
THF may have been blunt in his response, but he is right for the majority of cases.
