You absolutely have no idea what you are talking about. There are a plethora of reasons why a company or organization would have still been using XP aside from the fact that it is one of the most stable operating systems windows has ever released. However, since that has very little to do with hardware, its moot. You still need to explain (older systems or not) how a "rash" of hard drive failures would plague a select few who just happen to be at the center of an investigation and in such a manner that zero data could be retained from them or any any other source for that matter.

I mean this is defending the indefensible. Do you realize how stupid you sound? Do you have any idea what the statistical probability of that happening is? Of 8 drives from a select few failing all within the same time frame?
