Say what you will about the UN (and justifiably mostly) UNESCO WHS designation is pretty good for tourism and is not usually given without real merit.
I use it as a starting point for tourism when I'm going somewhere I've never been before, usually with good result.

My dad has a spot on the reservoir up there close to the state park. Very good white perch fishing. I've scored some arrowheads up around that way. The Indians had a nice way of life.
