If you're a person where time is money, such as attorneys, then your entire practice takes a hit while you're away making bread crumbs while in Baton Rouge.
So? There are more than a few that this is the only visible employment.
Take away their pay and those sessions will go much faster and will be much easier on taxpayers.

So take away their income for 1/4 of the year, make them pay for traveling from all ends of the state, rooms or apts here, food, etc and deny the fact that the ones that are not employed outside the legislature are usually vets or older people that are retired.
