Usually met them when they approach me for money.
I know several pretty well.
Do I respect them?? There are very few I respect--most of them are local. There are some real sleaze bags on the local level too.
I think the best way to clean up the state is to make the state representative and state senator jobs unpaid. That would dramatically and drastically change how the state does business.
Oh I think we should have at least one layer of the judiciary appointed instead of elected too.
I don't think we have any worse politicians than other states like Mississippi.

Do you know that many of them lose a TON of money being away from their jobs to represent the people in their districts?
If you're a person where time is money, such as attorneys, then your entire practice takes a hit while you're away making bread crumbs while in Baton Rouge.
