at its best, it is still the best, but on an average day or night, it is not even close to the best anymore.

True. Very rarely does it reach that fever pitch that made it such a storied venue. And if it does, it's only for brief spurts. Hell, the fricking Tiger (a big part of the mystique) only makes it out to 2 maybe 3 games a year.

Too many corporate and free-ticketed fans these days. Not nearly as many hard core, and that is not going to change.

That's ridiculous. The corporations that allegedly have this giant glut of tickets are BR and Louisiana-centric businesses. I promise you, there are many HUGE LSU fans in that group. If the fact that they don't dump cokes on people or try to start fights with other fans makes them less "hardcore" than the trash that does, then so be it.

The problem is that the atmosphere in TS is a victim of LSU's own great success over the last 10+ years. Fan expectations are at a level never before seen. LSU is expected to win every game they play in TS. That translates into the fans not feeling as though they "have" to be such a big part of the game. Great play doesn't excite the avg fan anymore. It's simply looked as as something LSU football is "supposed" to do.

Let the program go through 7-8 years of losing or mediocre football, then start winning big again. You'll see TS as loud as it ever was once more.
