prime shaq might be the most dominant force in the history of the nba. it's either him or jordan. shaq's dominance was purely physical, jordan had some once in a lifetime x factor.

I don't think its close. He absolutely required constant double teams and would still easily hit 30/10 every single game. He is a very underrated passer as well. Guy had skill.

His presence on the court is unmatched IMO. So powerful he would physically exhaust the other team by halftime. They had to create Hack-A-Shaq to slow him down.

Some of his NBA playoff statlines are absolutely legendary.

And he did this in a time with lots of great big men in the league. He wasn't playing 6'4" white boys.

ETA2:
Not saying he's the best player, but he's the most dominant force. He quite literally could not be stopped by anyone at his peak. Dwight Howard shames the nickname Superman.
