Looking for the most basic plan with minimum data. Only one line on the plan.
Thanks.

Can you migrate a phone # to them?

I switched to Straight Talk about a year ago and have not been disappointed. I get service almost every place I go. I NEVER got service anywhere around ANY stadium when I had AT&T. Now, I have no problems.
And, it's $45/mo. with unlimited talk and text. The "fast" data last for 3 gig per month, after that I guess they put you on a slower plan. I'm not sure because I've never hit the 3 gig. I usually run at about 2.5 gig per month.
ETA: Last year when I was looking for a new plan, I went to all the different providers. Most of the "big boys" were running ads all over the place saying "unlimited" for $79/mo. However, when you went to actually sign up for service, just before you hit the "SUBMIT" button, they would show you the "actual" cost. All of these scumbags would add on some sort of "connection" fee, adding another $25/mo. to your bill. It was a freaking joke. It was just a bullsh!t add on for absolutely no reason.

I believe so.

Just ran the numbers using AT&T at $70/month and straight talk at $45/month, assuming new phone every 2 years, over a 5 year span I'd save $300. Might as well keep AT&T.

AT&T at $70/month
Like I said earlier, that's the advertised price. Last year, when I went to reup, they added another $25/mo. for some bullsh!t connection charge. It was done at the very end right before you were required to hit SUBMIT.
TMobile and Sprint did the same thing. I Googled it and there was a lot of chatter about it on internet boards as being just a new add on bullsh!t fee that they were trying to scam people into agreeing to.

I think it was $60 and I added $10 monthly for bs. So the bs is accounted for.
