I have known probably 20 pits that were all perfect dogs, only one that was fricked up. Cur dogs normally chill, but are extremely protective of their owners.
In all of my 30 years, I haven't ever met a "nice" rottweiler that I truly trusted, and have had 3 try to bite me. Only other dogs have bitten or attempted to bite me were a chow and countless small dogs. Unfortunately owners of small dogs think it is cute. Unfortunately for them, they don't think it is cute when I punt their small dogs across the room for biting me, and I'm the one who ends up in trouble for their dog biting me.
The foreign breeds are just there for shock value. Such a small population of them in the US, it is negligible
