Yeah, by choice. No one is making them.

There are people sitting in horrific marriages for their kids sake, financially speaking.

Again, by choice. And the idea that people do their kids a favor by doing this is debatable at best.

I'm sorry but I completely disagree with this.

The dude told jokes for a living. How seriously can you possibly take him? If a person hinges his life on Chapelle's ability and willingness to tell funny jokes then I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for him.

Chapelle was an entertainer. He made some money doing it. The fact that others got a slice if that pie doesn't mean they own the pie and are entitled to more. That's absurd.

Hell, even a CEO doesn't have the level of responsibility you're pinning on celebrities. They are responsible to their shareholders and are charged with giving them a profit. That's it. They're not responsible for lives.

This, big time. Third Leg is weird as hell in this thread. Even if those people helped make Chappelle was he was (and no doubt some of them did), they still aren't entitled to anything, and if Dave wanted to walk away from it for his own reasons, then so be it.

Also, some of the reasons he's come out and mentioned over the years seem like good enough reasons for me (and for the people he worked with...provided they were true).
