I totally agree with this, but he knew what he was giving up and did so because he thought that was the best choice for him. Could he have helped out a few more people with the extra money more seasons would have earned him? No doubt. That being said, I strongly believe that you only live once and you should do what makes you truly happy. No matter how much money you make and give away, there would still be untold amounts of suffering in the world. There's nothing wrong in my mind with making sure you are happy first and foremost.
