I am not advocating people living outside of their means, but what is expensive to you isn't expensive to everyone...

I agree but the jist of it from my view is that there are more shoppers/posers than outdoorsmen these days.

I watched two guys at Geohagens in a leaky blow up raft pull redfish after redfish from the bottom of a cut and throw them head first into a five gallon bucket til they had their limit. Every now and then I would hear the buzz of the air pump adding more air as the raft got a little soft.

We all shot the shite (me from my kayak), caught fish, and had a good time. Watched a guy pull a 24 foot Blue Wave up to the dock with nothing to show later that morning.

I just don't think people are really happier spending money and shopping on all this high end stuff.
