Because getting to the final 8 teams, takes more than just having a good team. It's baseball and there are 2 tournaments to get in the final 8. A LOT can happen during that time.
Am I saying we should never expect to go? No.
But every other year or more than every other year is a little crazy to me as an "expectation"
