Yep. I've flown the beach in a small plane before and they are everywhere. Frequently very close to people who have no clue. The sign plane pilots say its like that every day. As someone said, if they bit people on purpose no one would ever get in the water.

yet there were only 26 attacks in Florida waters last year and not one death
ETA: only 24 in 2013 and 26 in 2012
