travel will not be a problem, as cold weather tourism is what makes the whole place tick...worst case is, you land at the airport and have to frick around Denver for a day or so until the roads clear...

fwiw, my favorite town in all of colorado is steamboat springs...it is a true western ranch town with a nice ski hill to pull in some tourist dollars...if you are into red carpet and movie star-type vacations, it is probably what you are looking for, but that is where I would go...
