What's ultimately happening is that the university is now charging ticket-holders more money for a substantially worse product. Basic economics dictate that such a model is simply not sustainable.

Take away all the bullshite ads, at least try to lessen the traffic woes, quit charging people to park on campus, stop blaring terrible music every time there's a break in the action, and your average fan will be a lot more willing to pay more for tickets and actually attend the games. Restore the gameday experience for the fans, and enthusiasm will follow suit.

But as it stands now, people are having to fork out a lot more money for an experience that isn't nearly as enjoyable as it once was. They're leveraging the reputation of Tiger Stadium into a more expensive yet simultaneously "cheaper" product.
