Friedman is "Assistant Secretary with Housing and Urban Development", per his now-scrubbed Twitter profile.

I don't think he will be for long, though I seriously doubt that dumbass came up with this on his own. The administration is trying to stop the bleeding on this and is trying to trot out whoever it can in order to pump up Bergdahl or tear down his accusers.
