they lost on great plays by stanford. We lost because Paul stuck with a struggling pitcher too long and then decided to put in a untested/ worst pitcher we have left in a tight situation last night instead of putting in our best arm that we could use. Paul's decision making went to shite

This is just a freak year as far as the amount of top seeds getting bounced. But anyone who claims there's so much parity now as compared to the 90's just hasn't done their homework. You can make yourself feel better and say "ah, no one is consistently getting to supers and omaha anymore" but that's A. bullshite, and B. A pretty Beta attitude.

I did a post on this a few years back, but before I go dig up the old stats, just look at South Carolina's run (aside from this freak year of course).
