I think this would be the most effective way to get the point across. More than half the people I know don't even have an idea what net neutrality is going to do. If their Facebook/Instagram, Netflix, Amazon, eBay, Google/YouTube shut down for a day, 100% would be affected, pay attention, and raise all hell.
