You can thank our wonderful politicians for putting pressure on the road and traffic engineers for that (and all similar traffic issues). The developers go to them and then they squeeeeeeel like a pig til they get what they want.

Oh, I remember the whole ordeal quite well. It was actually the residents that raised a fuss whenever the connection to Nicholson became a reality. They didn't want all of the through traffic racing through their subdivision.

That's the narrative of BR for you -- terrible planning (city officials) and an unfounded sense of entitlement (residents).
