They told us he died but once again, I didn't see any evidence that he really died. Nothing more than supposition at this point especially since he hadn't kept in contact with Nina for a long time.

yeah, not sure if I believe it in this watch through. Bell said he would die, but we don't know for certain. Also doesn't Nina only send him messages and she doesn't hear back?

If so he could be alive and we would have no idea that he was alive.

Only thing that would have to be explained is the soul magnets that happens in later this season I think.

Season 3X04
Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?

If we are in a full blown war with shapeshifters from another dimension shouldn't we be administering some form of daily blood test to all people in power? Wouldn't be hard since their blood is Mercury.

Heck, we should have mercury sensors in every sensitive government building. Sure Walter could whip something up with a spatula, mr. microphone and and old Stretch Armstrong doll.

Too late Broyles. We already knew what they were capable of.

Chef Newton sure is an evil shapeshifter.

So they bring the wife to get a reaction from Vanhornbot and once they actually get one, everyone freaks out and the unplug him.

That was an incredibly weak effort by Fauxlivia to find Officer Friendly. She arrived upstairs almost as fast as Peter. If he checked to see who exited the building it would be apparent she didn't even try to find the guy. Either weak effort by Fauxlivia or terrible direction of that scene.

Newton purposely crashing his car made no sense. He was in tighter spots before. He had no clue if he would survive the crash or who the first person to check him would be. Sorry but that was weak.

I also don't believe he would have asked Fauxlivia if the disc was secure and she wouldn't have answered because neither would know if security sensors could pick up the conversation.

The main plot was to get info from Vanhornbot or his disc. Fauxlivia destroyed the disc. Wouldn't Chef Newtons disc contain even more damaging information?

Fauxlivia going into whore mode to distract Peter.

Episode moved the arc along but on my second viewing, I didn't like this one as much as I did the first time.

It was interesting to see that a shifter could fall in love and want to stay with his family.

Season 3X05
Amber 31422

A Bing search of trapped in Amber yields interesting results.

I don't like the Peter Hallucination. One thing to see glimpses here and there of things that remind her of her old memories but Peter straight up trying to convince her through conversation doesn't work for me.

The amber is used to seal a disaster area. Now that the threat is contained, shouldn't they be able to locate the event and release at least some of the trapped people?

Or did they tell the public that anyone encased in Amber is dead?

Walternate got me again. Answering my questions with actual answers.

They are light years ahead of in technology but the hospital keeps pills in unlocked cabinets.

I see Walternate likes water tanks too. Also since it is 3rd season, I see Torv must have said no to bra and panties.

Ok, I can see how they might be able to push her to jump, but I have no clue how she would immediately jump back.

I'm a bit confused by them using the Amber for the bank heist. This isn't some unexplained phenomena. He used similar vibrational tech to go through walls that was used by the David Robert Jones gang.

Maybe the first time they were unsure of the breach but 5 years later you would think they would have refined their system to detect a real breach.

Was it smart of Olivia to lie? The computers had the same readings from the first time she jumped so telling Walternate nothing happened would raise his suspicion that she is on to them. Especially since she wanted to go into the tank ahead of schedule.

Obscure reference. You get a cookie if you know that one and why I used it.
Season 3X06
6955 kHz

I still don't believe the Feds would allow Peter to keep a key piece of tremendously dangerous tech in an unprotected office lab.

Why doesn't Walter explain to Peter the actual danger and his reasoning why Peter shouldn't use the device? If he explained it just like he did with Nina, maybe Peter would slow down.

How is Peter's picture on the drawing of the device? Is the drawing from the future? Did the observers create the document? If so, why would they try to keep Peter from using the device?

If the earlier destroyed civilization created the device, how would they have a picture of Peter of his DNA?

Hey! The let Asparagus figure something out!

The bad guy reminds me of those aliens for some reason. He has an odd looking face.

BOOO!

Olivia climbing out of the shower already 100% covered by a towel. Not that we would see anything but she definitely changed her tune about showing skin on the show as it progressed.

Okay, my thoughts on the three episodes for this week.

Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?

I really really like TJN as a villain. Much more than DRJ (though I liked him too) and even Walternate.

Cold blooded how he just smoked that senator in the face. And he's a straight up crack shot the way he keeps missing Broyles's face by mere inches around that corner.

Also completely love how his plan was just to pull out a gun and roll the body out the front door of the hospital. No big deal. :lolL:

Astrid tells Walter he never gets her name right, but that's not true...he just gets it wrong too. he calls her Astrid here and there, and Agent Farnsworth a lot. Back the frick off, Aspirin.

Those scenes with the senator and his wife when she was trying to talk to his body were fairly intense, and really sad.

Why wouldn't that shapeshifter kill Walter? I know he incapacitated him with the head wound, but it makes almost no sense that he wouldn't kill Walter just for a) being in his way, and b) being one of the main people they're fighting against.

Fauxlivia...when in doubt, seduce the guy with sex. Solid plan. I really like how you can keep seeing the little inconsistencies with the Livs both being switched in different universes. Good job by Anna Torv making that believable too.

I completely forgot that TJN offs himself, and this early on. So much for loving him as a villain. frick.

Amber 31422

Seems like almost sort of a filler episode. But still good though.

To catholic's point earlier, I do like the episodes in the alternate universe a lot. And I think one reason is because the real Olivia is over there and I sort of connect to that. But even on top of that, it's still a cool place.

Is it me or is Alt Broyles (Brauxyles?) always chewing gum? Like in every single scene it seems like.

I vividly remember when Liv was crossing back and going into that gift shop. Cool to see that again.

Why they think that convincing Liv that she is Fauxlivia is baffling to me. No wy that should work, especially when they then turn around and tell her that regular Liv can cross over and now they magically think Fauxliv can too.

I forgot about Liv's enhanced hearing (like when she hears the bomb and Charlie and Lincoln don't). That's a throwback to a season two episode where that dude had his human being-devouring son in the basement.

I am no scientist, but I feel like that dude's destabilizer machine thing shouldn't literally put a hole in the wall to the bank...shouldn't it just destabilize it so he can move through it? Oh well, fringe science and all that, I guess.

Cool ending when Liv crosses over and makes the call to Ella. Only thing that caught me though was that she told Walternate and Brandon that it didn't work. But they were monitorin the machines and had to know it worked based on the same brain activity from the first time. IMO she should've just lied and said that she went to the same gift shop or something like that.

6955 kHz

This is gonna sound weird, but I don't like Fauxlivia in blonde hair, and I don't like Olivia in red hair. I know they're both Anna Torv, but it's unsettling for me for some reason.

Cool episode, and numbers stations are actually a thing that nobody really knows what the frick they are for. So that's pretty cool.

The First People...that's the Observers, right? Don't we find that out later on? I seem to remember that for some reason.

So these pieces of the device in the regular timeline will need to get back to the altverse at some point? I'm a little confused on that. I know Fauxlivia is moving on to phase two or whatever, but don't remember exactly what comes next (which is good and makes the rewatch more fun IMO).

shite's about to go down with Liv in the altverse, and IIRC, we get a lot more Bubbles in the coming episodes.
