This would be my favorite TV book I've ever read, but I'm a sucker for SNL and oral histories. Biggest negative now is that it's almost a decade old so not completely up-to-date. Still, if your sister loves/loved Saturday Night Live, it's really hard to beat. I think Eddie Murphy is the only big name associated with the show who didn't participate (outside of the dead ones, of course).
Now, if you want to branch out into Hollywood in general, then by all means you should go with The Kid Stays in the Picture.
