Actually, it takes a few days for other peoples imessage to figure it out for whatever reason, but not sue worthy.

Your Apple ID is never actually deleted. You can tell Apple to turn off iMessage. But, as long as people have "+1" saved before your actual number the messages will continue to be sent to the Apple ID.

The biggest thing I would think is to make sure you change the phone number from iPhone to mobile in your contact list. on my iPhone, if I don't have someone listed as an iPhone, it texts them instead of iMessage's them.

The ability to sue for stupid shite like this will be the absolute destruction of this country. It is fricking bananas that we, as a country, have gotten so spoiled and bratty that we will sue someone because a convenience doesn't work right for a few days.
