Is there anything to the Under Armour stuff?

yes...but you don't have to go with just Under Armour brand...many others..Nike, Reebok, etc. produce the same stuff...it does help...plain out cotton drawers will tear you up son...get anything that a football or baseball player might wear....
Back when I was going through OSUT (basic training) in the late 80's there was no such thing as UA or any of the other brands. so what our drill sergeants suggest we do before we'd go out on a long road march (10 -20 miles) was to go to the PX and buy a pair of women's pantyhose and cut them off at the knee. They worked like a charm at keeping chafing down to a minimum.

Corn starch? frick that.
Baby powder or gold bond green if you're gonna do something like that.
Under Armour boxer briefs are the tits too
Also keep your pubes trimmed and be not fat

When I know I have to hit it hard, I prepare with a gob of a&d or desitin ointment in the crack followed by gold bond powder in the drawers...
