Most everything listed in this thread is what I would term Death Metal or Black Metal or shite like that.

On the contrary, almost none of them are.

Wrong.

Brosef Stalin, to you

You're talking about power metal. No death or black metal bands are mentioned on page 1 of this thread.

You

Those carrying the flag of the true basic hard rock and metal like existed in the 70's and 80's is taking place in Europe,

Me

Orange Goblin and Spiritual Beggars certainly fit that bill.

You

Again, wrong. I'm talking about real metal. Not stoner sludge metal.

It's kinda obvious you really don't have a clue what you're talking about.

On the one hand, anybody that's remotely familiar with the bands mentioned knows they're not in any way black or death metal.

On the other hand, you must not consider Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Budgie, Montrose, Captain Beyond, Motorhead, or bunch more bands I can list, as 'the true basic hard rock and metal like existed in the 70's and 80's', because if you did, you'd know that both Orange Goblin and Spiritual Beggars wear their influences by great classic bands like that quite proudly. And neither one of them them is a 'sludge' band.
