I watched it and thought it was thin. Too much ground to cover and not enough time. Plus I don't give a rat's arse what the political figures think. Historians and military comments were Ok. I liked the tie in with his breather not sealing to Hitler's Charlie Chaplin 'stash.

I watched one of the shows entitled WWII in HD yesterday. It was about the Normandy aftermath and the battle for Saipan. The Saipan footage was grisly. 37000 of 40000 Japanese soldiers died and large numbers of Japanese civilians leapt to their death from Marpi Point (Banzai Cliff) at the orders of the Emperor of Japan. Over 3000 American soldiers lost their lives in the battle.

How far has History Channel fallen when the World Wars is at least a respite from Down East Big Game Hunters.
