Turkey Beard Question?

How old is a Turkey with a 6"+ beard? I have a Tom hanging around my yard almost daily. Any help, thanks.

tough to tell from the beard, easier to tell from the spurs
but a 6" beard is probably a 2 year old bird

Beard length doesn't mean a whole lot. Beards can be cut in fights or shortened from dragging the ground
6" is usually a young but mature gobbler
