I think it is tougher in today's game for any RB to win the Heisman because of all the pass happy offenses out there. Throw in the emergence of the dual-threat QBs and RBs have a hard time competing numbers wise.
College QBs across the country are putting up big passing numbers in the spread. QBs like Newton, Manziel, and Winston are adding pretty sick rushing stats to go along with those passing yards.
No coincidence that we have seen a recent string of Heisman winning QBs. Not saying a RB has no chance to win, but in today's college game, IMO it's a lot more difficult.

I wish him luck but I have heard this shite before. I think he will be a great back but I think it is a little pre mature.
