re: Best Southern State/City To Live In?

I would love to live in the surrounding Knoxville area again. I am not a city person though. No place in the southeast I would rather live.

I think you will appreciate that place a lot more once you live somewhere else. It's good to get out of your comfort zone.

I am from New Orleans, love that place and it's home, but doubt I will ever live there again. It would take an awful lot of money to ever get me to Atlanta. Nashville is just meh to me, but wouldn't mind it there. Chattanooga is only good for it's internet, but I have good friends here and it's not too bad of a drive to some of the areas I love in this part of the country. Charleston and Savannah would be an interesting experience, love visiting them. I prefer Charleston. Asheville seems to be the new hipster town everyone loves, it's overrated to me.
