Arthur McGinnis (2015) OLB / Hybrid DE Warren Easton New Orleans was selected LB MVP and was invited to the NIKE Opening at the Washington DC NIKE Football Training Camp. McGinnis' verified measurables were 6'2 228 LBS. The Louisiana LB had an excellent day and was all over RB's and WR's. Most of his highlights are at DE or rush LB. Need to see more of him moving in space. Also looks to be a bit of an arm tackler.

Gonna have to impress at camp or have a big sr season. Joe Anderson wants to play LB and is more versatile if he can't so we shall see how it plays out. I'd be happy with neither, either or both.

We have a lot of LBs right now. But, nearly all going to be JRs and will be SRs his freshman year.
And, he and Tyron Johnson are close.
McGinnis is gonna get an offer. And he translates very well at the next level due to his size, athleticism, and physical play.

Here is what I like though: he can fight through blockers and traffic to make plays from multiple positions. How many HS JRs can do that? He has highlights of finesse outside rushes to make plays, highlights of bull rushes inside, and highlights from multiple LB positions. What more could you want out of a OLB/DE hybrid? Those type of players just don't drop back into coverage much in HS.
He reminds me of Bradie James in HS, who could cause all kinds of havoc on the line.
