When I played back in the day I always used the DeMarini Doublewall. Most leagues allow them and they are great bats. I got a new one every two years cause they loose a little pop after a couple of seasons. They add about 10-20 yards on your deep ball.

Native, what's the best bat inbetween $100-$150 for me? I don't hit for distance, and I'm a fast player. I'm looking for some pop through the gaps and some liners into shallow outfield.

The balls were 50 core then with 500 compression so a double wall worked. Now they're 40 and composites are vastly superior. Really no comparison between composites and metal. That's why the NCAA banned composites for baseball.
