yeah sure you don't

Last year in Pensacola there was a shark swimming about 3 feet from shore. Not too big. 4 feet maybe. My dad jumps in the water like a moron and tries to bear hug/catch it. It swims away like something is chasing it
I really doubt the sharks have decided to go on the offensive. Jellyfish are much scarier IMHO.

About this time last year, we were sitting on the beach at Sandestin. Waded out to drain off a few drinks in waist deep water. 3-4 foot wave comes rolling in about 10-15 yards from me. Right in the middle of wave is a bull shark that I figure was about 7 feet long just cruising west down the beach. Cut the urination break short and headed back to my chair. Bull sharks are some bad arse frickers.

Good thing your bait wasn't any bigger or you'd not be able to tell this story

Somewhere in the amazon.
It was a fish with human looking teeth.

You are more likely to be struck by lightening (especially in FL) or win the lottery than you are to be attacked by a shark. Even in FL, which is the shark attack capital of the US.
Im going out on a limb and saying that doesnt apply to a situation when a giant great white is known to frequent the area. By your own accord

They caught a 1400 lbs white off my local beach in just 25 ft of water and she was just in the area again two weeks ago. She's a frequent visitor but I'm still paddling out every chance I get.
You think the 10 min drive to the beach is more dangerous than paddling in the same bay as a frequently visiting 1400 lb great white?
