I don't think he is terrible but Monty's had his chances. WE HAVE FINISHED LAST IN OUR DIVISION THE PAST 3 YEARS. I don't think he is a great developer of talent. Certain coaches maximize their player's potential (Pop, Thibodeaux, Doc) and he's not one of them. Player's leave here and have bigger impacts for their new teams than they did when they were here (Ariza, Thorton, Collison, Belinelli, Lopez). I wouldn't fire him yet, but he gets one more year in my opinion.

I think the real problem in NOLA is DELL DEMPS!

Most of those guys you listed had arguably their best seasons in the league under Monty. Two of them were rookies at the time.

It's not like we played in a good division or anything.

Or we were rebuilding

Ariza was in a contract year and is looking for a good pay-day. Hardly shocking he played well.

There's a ton of "thortons" in this league.

Collison has not done any better anywhere else.

Belly is benefitting from playing in a system that tailors to his strengths(and 3 HOFers)

Lopez is average

I wouldn't be upset over any of them tbh.

And not the coach that often times couldn't deploy a reasonable rotation and shafted tyreke for the first 3/4ths of the season?

Some of your blame is misplaced
