Inside "Nashville" look around Sylvan Park, Greenhills, East Nashville, or 12 South.
Those are all great neighborhoods that have a wide range on home prices.
If you want to live in the Burbs, check out Brentwood or Franklin. Lots of people do this, but I warn you the commute traffic can be a bitch.
