Like many on here, I grew up listening to Walter Hill and John Ferguson. In those days before the Tigers were on television every week, we relied on the two of them to paint the picture, to bring the games alive, and they did a magnificent job of it. They are as responsible as any for creating the magic of Saturday nights in Death Valley. My childhood would not have been the same without them, and LSU would not be the same without them both.

What he said (BillF)! Was part of my childhood 60's with my dad charting the games from their call. Never forget his pre game description vs AU think was 72 how crucial game was to both teams "if you don't think will be some bone crunching hitting tonight, well stay tuned"!
