I don't know what the ltz tahoe's initial price tag was, but I know the base model was around around 28k in 2007, so I'd estimate the LTZ was around 50k loaded. The land cruiser was closer to 60k. Seems like the value depreciates the same to me.

This is coming from someone who owns a tahoe and will probably not own another.

Well that LC's price seems like an anomaly, as the next cheapest one was $38k, but the point still stands. Suburban LTZ were close to $60k if memory serves me (FIL has one and bitched about how much it was )

ETA: I can't find a number for the Suburban, but the Tahoe LTZ 4x4 stickered at $52k, so it should be at least over $55k for the burb.

For all the GM loyalist:

quote:

Automotive News reports the 2015s will cost roughly $1,000 to $3,000 more than their 2014 counterparts when the new SUVs go on sale early next year. The base price of a 2015 Tahoe goes up to $45,595, based on order guides they obtained. That's a $1,000 bump. P

If you're going to be in the market for one of the leather-lined, chromed-up Suburban LTZ 4WD versions, Automotive News says you should be prepared to pay $65,595 before options – that's $3,300 more than a comparable 2014 Suburban.P

So, small-but-vocal group of people who want a new Suburban or Tahoe and aren't regularly transporting businessmen or government officials, save up.P
