Malls have a lifespan. While the current events are certainly interesting, the MOLA was never viably a long term revenue source IMHO. Its like Chris Rock said...."every city has two malls" . Ascension or Livingston or St.George will build a new mall eventually, and MOLA will be reduced to selling sneakers and baby clothes.

Cortana Mall was the primary shopping center in Baton Rouge for almost 30 years.

The Mall of Louisiana is 20 years old now but a large addition of it is relatively new. It's a prime location that is still a growing and thriving area.

I don't see it falling to the waste side anytime soon.
