Crawfish Boil Question

I've searched and found some decent information but I'd like to ask a little more directly. I'm obviously a novice, so please bear with me...
Giving my buddy the spice/seasonings, etc(among other shite) for a crawfish boil as an engagement gift.
What are the basics? Not talking about lemons, sausage, corn, etc. Is it as simple as just buying a Zatarains bag? I'd like to get him some decent stuff....

This is going to sound like a dick statement, but
You are giving a good buddy salt and pepper as an engagement gift.
Maybe reach for something a little more permanent.

He's gonna need an ice chest to season them in
Just an idea

Bags of Zats have to be multiple in numbers for any boil along with a certain amount of liquid to boot, as it has a bit more of arse kick in nature of what it imparts to the seasoning of the bugs.
