Why do people bench press if they will never have to pick something up that size in football? Because it proves strength. Similarly, this proves his knee is okay.

I don't think that's necessarily what affected his passing. He hit 29 of his first 30. I think he got a little tired. That's okay seeing that he threw twice as many as most do.

People bench press because that is what the league asks them to do at the combine. At the pro day you can literally do (or not do) whatever you want. Doing a simple cone drill or shuttle would prove his knee is okay much better than throwing roll out passes, which he never did even when healthy.

As far as getting tired, he shouldn't have scripted such a long workout if he wasn't in shape for it. Also, it sounded like a lot of the longer throws were later in the drill, which could account for the completion percentage going down.

I have a lot of respect for him to be able to do what he did in such a short time after his surgery. I just question if he did what was really best for himself.
