I didn't find it scary, but it was just unnerving...The whole gritty vibe and subject matter just left you feeling dirty and "creeped" out. It resonated in my head a few days after viewing it. That's more than I could say for any movie today that is set with "dark themes" "Psychological thrillers", etc.
I laugh too hard in American Psycho, it being one of my favorite movies. Halloween is a great movie that sets an ominous tone.
I guess I would be looking for more things like Henry, I suppose
