the average person begins "old age" in their 60s. to me it means when you are no longer able to do things that a healthy adult person can, just because of your physical decline. some people, particularly those who live sedentary lives, will reach this point much sooner in their lives. my uncle, who is in his mid 70s, can do a lot of shite that my 40-something coworkers can't do. he has not reached "old age" yet to me.
